Testimonials
"I am currently a High School senior and I have been studying with Irene Kent for about four months. In that short amount of time I have learned so much from her. When I started taking her dance classes I had no experience whatsoever. Since then, I have greatly improved in skill to the point where I can walk into a dance audition for a nationally ranked college Musical Theatre B.F.A. program with the confidence that I am able to do whatever is asked of me. She also helped me learn and perfect a pre-choreographed dance routine required for a college prescreen audition. I wouldn’t have had a chance of getting past the prescreen stage of the audition process if not for her. Irene also helped me format my theatre résumé so that it looks sophisticated and presentable. Her teaching style is very productive and professional, yet she is still able to make learning from her extremely enjoyable. Irene has gone above and beyond for me, and she really cares about the success of all her students. She gave me a fighting chance in an unforgiving business. I am extremely grateful for everything Irene has done for me."

“Irene Kent is an amazing mentor/ballet teacher. She brings a wonderful energy to her students. Her approach is un-intimidating and she truly welcomes all whilst focusing on the individual students needs and desires. I have never gotten so many constructive critiques along with ways I can fix the problem at hand. She is encouraging, supportive, and never demeans or humiliates her students. It is apparent that mentoring/teaching is her passion and that it brings her great joy to see her students succeed. I believe she creates an atmosphere that is the most conducive to learning and growth.”

“I just started dancing and took Irene Kent’s ballet class. I needed to tell someone that she is a very talented teacher and mentor. I have taken classes at many places and have studied with endless teachers, but there are a chosen few who will take the time to explain what you’re doing incorrectly instead of just letting it go! She encourages you to reach your goals when in your own mind you don't think you can. I left her class stronger, and with such a desire to dance again. Hats off to Irene!”

Irene has shown me great discipline through her dance/mentoring program, and I have obtained a better understanding of the 4D’s needed to be successful as a professional artist/performer. Applying Irene’s standards from her class and her own professional career I have observed her choices and action, and applied her mentoring skills to my own life choices in and outside of the entertainment industry. I am working professionally in the industry, and Irene's philosophy has only inspired me more to want to continue on my chosen career path.

I find that with the mentoring that Ms. Irene has instilled in me during our time together at dance helped me to become a more passionate performer (Broadway, Film, Dance, Stage), which in turn influenced my will and desire to become better. It was her encouragement that made me better. During this past year I have been held to a higher standard than any other year. Ms. Irene drove my ambition and desire to keep on improving my technique and eventually become successful. By the end of my journey it is crazy to see how far I've come as both a dancer and a performer by Ms. Irene's mentorship. The discipline that Ms. Irene supplies with her 4D Philosophy I will use as a tool for the rest of my life.
